Das ist eine völlige logische Geschichte:
Wer kommt für die Songs der Beatles mehr in frage als der Drummer der Swiss Beatles, den Les Sauterelles? Und was passiert, wenn sich dieser mit einem Gitarristen zusammen tut, welcher allein wegen der Beatles-Platten in der Sammlung seiner Eltern überhaupt angefangen hat, Musik zu machen? Und wenn diese zwei dann das Bass-Ass Thomy Jordi mit an Bord holen?
Ein neues Projekt entsteht und es heisst frei nach John Lennon (und nach Paul McCartneys Soloplatte) FLAMING PIE. Adi, Düde und Thomy kennen sich schon seit bald 20 Jahren. Sie haben in verschiedenen Formationen und allerlei Jam-Situationen eine einzigartigeTelepathie untereinander entwickelt.
Düde trommelte auf Adi’s Solo-Platten (2006-2008) mit Thomy am Bass und Adi war mit Thomy zusammen Gitarrist bei Düde’s BACK TO THE GROOVE (2009) und KROKODIL (2021 Reunion). Und jetzt spielen die drei für einmal Beatles-Songs. Weil die Qual der Wahl da ja sowieso riesen gross ist... Aber FLAMING PIE spielen diese Songs auf ihre Weise: reduziert auf das legendäre Format Powertrio. Und ohne Anspruch auf eins-zu-eins Umsetzung. So klingen sie rauher, freier, wilder.

It’s kind of a logical story:
Who fits better for the Beatles’ songs than the drummer of the Swiss Beatles, the Sauterelles? And what happens when he teams up with a guitarist who started playing music in the first place because of the Beatles records in his parents' collection? And what if these two then add bass ace (bad ass!) Thomy Jordi to the lineup?
A new project is born and it's called FLAMING PIE, named after a John Lennon quote and Paul McCartney's solo record. Adi, Düde and Thomy have known each other for almost 20 years. They have developed a unique telepathy with each other in various bands and all kinds of jam situations.
Düde drummed on Adi's solo records (2006-2008) with Thomy on bass and Adi was guitarist with Thomy on Düde's BACK TO THE GROOVE (2009) and KROKODIL (2021 reunion). And now, for once, the three of them play Beatles songs. Because the agony of choice is huge anyway...But FLAMING PIE play these songs in their own way: reduced to the legendary power trio format. And without any claim to one-to-one realization. So they sound rougher, freer, wilder.
